Prof. Itzhak Harpaz
President
Prof. Harpaz holds a PhD from the University of Minnesota, and is an expert in human resources management, organizational behavior, employment and labor relations and cross-cultural comparative management research. He has served as a Professor of Management and Dean of Graduate Studies at the University of Haifa, where he also founded and headed the Center for the Study of Organizations & Human Resource Management.
A partial list of the offices Harpaz filled and the positions he held during his tenure at the University of Haifa includes: member of the Executive Committee; member of the University Appointments Committee; member of the Board of Governors; and member of the university senate. Harpaz also served in a number of public positions: member of several Council for Higher Education in Israel committees (CHE), a public representative (judge) in the National Labor Court, Chairperson of the Israeli Industrial Relations Research Association and management member of the Israeli Sociological Society. Harpaz is a research fellow at the Center for Human Resources and Labor Studies at the University of Minnesota in the U.S. He was a visiting professor at several universities in North America, including the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Boston University, Brigham Young University, and the Centre for Industrial Relations and Human Resources at the University of Toronto.
Professor Harpaz is the author or co-author of more than 100 scientific publications in prestigious international scientific journals. He has also authored or co-authored seven books, including: Human Resources Management: The Strategic Approach (University of Haifa Press, with Prof. Meshulam); Heavy Work Investment: Its Nature, Sources, Outcomes and Future Directions (Routledge Press); Work and Organizations in Israel (Transaction Publishers); The Meaning of Work in Israel: Its Nature and Consequences (Praeger Publishers); and The Meaning of Working (Academic Press). Harpaz also serves, or has served, on the editorial board of scientific journals, among them Human Relations and The Journal of Managerial Psychology. He was also the special editor in three different journals that published special issues dedicated to the topic of workaholism.
Prof. Harpaz has received numerous awards and grants from leading research foundations and institutes, including: the European Commission; United States-Israel Bi-National Science Foundation (BSF); Israel National Council for Research and Development; Israel Foundation Trustees (Ford Foundation); Ministry of Science; Ministry of Labor and Social Services; and the National Insurance Institute of Israel. Harpaz also serves as an evaluator of research proposals for several agencies and scientific foundations, among them: the European Research Council; United States-Israel Bi-National Science Foundation (BSF); The German-Israeli Foundation for Scientific Research and Development (GIF); Israel National Council for Research and Development; Ministry of Labor and Social Services; and the Ministry of Science. Harpaz is a recipient of the Innovation in Teaching Award and the Outstanding Lecturer Award. He has also advised more than 60 M.A., PhD and post-doctoral students.

Mr. Benny Zussman
Chairperson, Board of Governors
Mr. Zussman was born and raised in Haifa. He acquired his academic education in Economics and Political Science at the University of Haifa and served in senior positions in the banking system for many years, primarily at Bank Leumi. He currently serves as Chairperson of the Association of Israelis of Central European Origin in Haifa, and as Chairperson of the Psagot Carmel assisted living facilities.

The Hon. Theodor Or, Former Supreme Court Justice
Chairperson, Executive Committee
Justice Or was born in Poland and immigrated to Israel with his family when he was two years old. He grew up in Afula and completed his high school studies at the Afula District High School (now Ben Gurion high school). He joined the IDF in 1952 and served in the army while studying law at the Hebrew University, graduating summa cum laude in 1957. Justice Or was appointed to the Afula Magistrate’s Court in 1967 and to the District Court in Nazareth in 1973. In 1989, Or was elected to the Supreme Court, serving as its Deputy President from 2003 to 2004.

Sheri Levy
Director General
Ms. Levy earned a B.A. in Sociology and Anthropology from Max Stern Yezreel Valley College and an MBA from the University of Haifa. Her vision is to continue to support the development of the college as a quality institution of higher learning which places importance on its connections with the labor market and its role as a significant contributor to the well-being and enrichment of the broader community.
